MIMO PEMBA
For the resolution of the project, a concept was developed, where the place where it is inserted was respected. Either through its form or in the chromatic use of the intervention. It was thus determined that the openings were protected by a “grid”, creating a dual function of sun protection, as well as creating a light/shade game in their relationship with the interior. In this way, it is intended to make an analogy to the vernacular architecture of the place. If the elevations are marked by a metric of full/empty, this is due to the need for a rhythmic system of openings, in order to enhance the aesthetics of the building, which were based on some specific architectural elements found in the place.
The interior space obeys a structural metric, so that its expansion – if necessary – is of immediate resolution, obeying the necessary programmatic requirements.
The exterior spaces adopt solutions that contribute to enhance the character of the building and try to benefit from its insertion in the urban fabric.
